In plenary Talk session it was an honor to have speeches of distinguished scientists Prof. The nanoscale manufacturing is multidisciplinary -- involving but not limited to mechanics, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, and biomedical engineering. Much of the nanotechnology developed so far focused on the fabrication of nanostrucutres composed of metallic or inorganic components. Where metallic nanostructures benefit emission wavelength is in extracting specific emission colors in defined directions, thereby controlling the angular and spectral distributions of emitted light without diminishing significantly the device efficiency.

UNL faculty and graduate students participated in the discovery of the Higgs boson and are developing instrumentation and computing facilities for the experiment. We demonstrate the first tunable metamaterial at optical frequencies using vanadium dioxide, a phase transition material. Research is carried out not only on-site, but also at other major national and international laboratories. Esaki, and traditionally organized together with the St Petersburg Academic University, Submicron Heterostructures for Microelectronics Research and Engineering Center of the RAS, Foundation for Support of Education and Science (Alferov's Foundation) and Ioffe Institute, which are pioneering in many directions of this impetuously developing area.
